The Outgoing President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, believes strongly that the music industry will survive despite popular opinion that it will be dull without Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, Obour, opined that there have been bigger and better musicians in the past than the two arch rivals.

“The music industry can do without Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy because they are not the only musicians in Ghana. There have been musicians before these two artistes who achieved more than them.”

“Shatta Wale was banned for three years from the VGMA but the awards still went on and his ban did not affect the music industry in any way. The fact is, the music industry is bigger than just these two individuals,” Obour said.

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale brought the VGMAs to a halt when they had an altercation on stage.

They have since been in the news with the two facing sanctions from both the Ghana Police and the VGMA board.
