The issue of tithing to the Church is one of the hot topics in Christianity because some people feel that it is an outmoded practice which is not relevant to the NEW TESTAMENT.
Others also share testimonies of miraculous events happening to them after they paid their tithes.
That notwithstanding, Bishop David Oyedepo, the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel has said that those who do not pay tithes are under a financial curse.
Bishop Oyedepo claimed that tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation and that it is impossible to achieve prosperity without tithing.
His tweet has gained mixed reactions with some people asking whether Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and other billionaires pay tithe to the church. Some also questioned why he isn’t as rich as those aforementioned billionaires.
Others also supported him, saying that it is their money and that they know what they gain from tithing.
