The advent of the corona virus has forced governments all over the world to take drastic measures in order to ensure that their citizens aren’t affected by the virus.
One of such measures have included placing a ban on all public gatherings – including religious gatherings.
However, according to Nicolas Haque, an Imam in Senegal went contrary to the government’s directive and held a worship session. As a result of that, he was arrested.
But in a shocking turn of events, hundreds of people gathered to protest the arrest of the Imam without recourse to the fact they they could be putting themselves at an increased risk of being affected by the virus.
