Hopper, an Instagram planning and scheduling tool company based in the United Kingdom has released a list of sports stars and the potential amount of money they could earn per post due their number of Instagram followers.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the sports star with the highest number of Instagram followers – 173 million Instagram followers tops the list with a potential earning per post pegged at $975, 000.
Eight footballers, a basketball player and a cricket player make up the top 10 with the top five spots occupied by footballers and includes retired footballer, David Beckham.
Neymar (123 million followers and $722, 000 per post), Lionel Messi (121 million followers and $648, 000 per post), David Beckham (57 million followers and $357, 000 per post) and Lebron James (50 million followers and $272, 000 per post) completes the top five.
A shock inclusion is Gareth Bale who has been a subject of intense transfer speculation in recent days.
Mohammed Salah is the only African to make the list whiles Ronda Rousey and Serena Williams are the only female athletes included.
