Fans of fante rapper Pappy Kojo are not happy with the musician for apparently disrespecting retired Ghanaian politician and statesman John Agyekum Kufour.
In a photo recently shared on the “aye late” crooner’s timeline, he described the Ex President as his “nigga”.
Pappy Kojo shared a picture of him getting a handshake from the former President and he captioned it as “my nigga”.
This term did not go well with most of his followers who flooded his comment section with insults.
Nigga is a slang used mainly among African Americans in a neutral or familiar way and as a friendly term of address — therefore Pappy Kojo would have gotten away with it if he was an African American or living in America. Using the term especially to describe someone who is old enough to be your grandfather in our part of the world is extremely offensive. To add salt to injury, he is also no ordinary Ghanaian but a former head of state.
