The Government of Ghana have announced Free COVID 19 testing for people who are contact-traced or strongly believe they have been exposed to the virus (not travellers).
However, the directive indicated the exemptions are made when comes to travellers as they are expected to will continue to pay for their testing.
“The Ministry of Health has decided that Public Covid-19 testing laboratories providing walk-in services can charge ONLY TRAVELLERS for testing. All other walk-in services as ill health, contact tracing and exposure must be done free-of-charge using public health resources” the January 27 letter read.
