The energy and passion with which Wakaso played for The Stars was second to none. He covered every blade of glass, won tackles, dished out passes. Yes, he wasn’t the most talented but his hard work definitely made up for his lack of talent.
And it was such energetic performances which saw him pick up two man of the man awards during Ghana’s relatively short period spent at the AFCON.
Ghana failed in its quest to end a 37-year AFCON trophy drought but Wakaso stood out. Definitely, Ghanaians will be happy that Wakaso has acknowledged them for supporting The Stars.
