Hearts 1-0 Kotoko: This footage vindicates referee Samuel Sukah

Samuel Sukah awarded a contentious penalty to Hearts of Oak when they edged Asante Kotoko 1-0 last week Sunday.

Referee Samuel Sukah has been cleared of any wrong doing by the Match Review Panel of the GFA, after his controversial penalty call during Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 win against Asante Kotoko.

Hearts of Oak were awarded an 82nd penalty against Asante Kotoko last week Sunday. The penalty decision generated debate all over the country and earlier video evidence showed that Ahmed Adams blocked the ball with his back, but the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Match Review Panel has cleared referee Samuel Sukah, after they watched a clearer replay of the incidence from a video supplied by the GFA cameraman.

Asante Kotoko fans issued a statement, following the game that they don’t want Samuel Sukah to officiate any of their games in the future, because he is biased against the Porcupine Warriors.
