It is of primary knowledge that Ghana’s entertainment industry is equipment deficient. There has been numerous calls on Ghanaian movie or showbiz producers to increase the quality of content.

Celebrated Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has revealed even a bigger problem facing the Ghanaian entertainment industry. According to her, a lack of access to facilities is also a grave contributory factor to our dwindling fortunes in the entertainment industry.

She further recounted a bitter experience where she was denied access to facilities of the University of Ghana, Legon. More worrying was the fact that she doubles up as an alumnus of the school.

The conversation of support for the film industry is always reduced to just funding, but in a lot of cases access plays a huge role.

Once I needed to film in the University of GHANA where I am a past student.

It took them 6 months to get back to me, and they still rejected me.
