MK Casting, organisers of actors’ workshops, will on Saturday, March 25 host another training event for young actors.

The event which is dubbed ‘Marathon Performance’ will take place at the Kanda Community Library on Saturday at 6:00pm under the theme: ‘role of the youth in nation building’.

Mawuko Kuadzi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) MK Casting, shedding light on the event, mentioned that the exercise is purposely designed to prepare actors for the competitive film industry out there.

He added, “It is important the actors start from stage because performing in front of live audience puts them on the edge, thus, ensuring efficiency in delivery and performance.”

Participants have been put in groups of three with 10 actors in each group and the groups charged with the task of scripting their own plays which they have been rehearsing for a month now.

Mr Kuadzi elaborated that the rate is GH¢10 and proceeds from the show will be used to shoot a short film for the actors.

The CEO further stated, “Adjetey Anang and Dayan Fields who were part of the workshops will be present to assess their performance.”
