Mobile telecommunication giants, MTN, has offered a free 2 gigabyte worth of data for its data customers.

MTN Customers last week experienced an abrupt disruption in data connectivity for over 48 hours.

The disruption in data services according to the company was as a results of a submarine fibre cut. This situation affected internet services nationwide, causing an intermittently slow internet connection for most users.

The company has offered a goodwill package for its data customers and the data is valid till Saturday, 25 January 2020. Customers can begin to enjoy their free data starting Thursday, January 23 2020.

The CEO of MTN Ghana Selorm Adadevoh said, “all data customers on MTN Ghana’s network will receive free 2GB data valid for 2 days. We appreciate customers for their patience and support during the period of the disruption. Customers are to note that the goodwill bonus package will be sent to their data account and not through a website,” a statement said.

You can however view the information about the data and the remaining balance on MyMTN App
