Actress Martha Ankomah launched her Martha Ankomah Foundation last Tuesday at the African Regent Hotel in Accra. Some of her colleagues from the entertainment industry were there to lend their support notable among them were Ecow Smith-Asante, Abeiku Acquah, Gloria Osei Sarfo, Vincent Macauley, Abeiku Sagoe and Mercy Little Smith.

According to the actress:

“Martha Ankomah Foundation is a social organisation registered three years ago, the objectives of this foundation are child care support programmes, health awareness projects, community development projects, livelihood empowerment and fundraising programmes.”

“Over the past few years, Martha Ankomah Foundation in collaboration with Autism Ambassadors have been creating awareness for children living with autism. This year, we have decided to embark on our new project, the Martha Ankomah Foundation’s Quality Education Project.

“The singular aim of this project is to provide children living in deprived communities with learning materials and resources which will enhance their aptitude in education.”
