Riyad Mahrez Topples Mohammed Salah To Become Africa’s Most Expensive Football Signing
Riyad Mahrez completed a sensational deal to Manchester City on the 10th of July 2018, making him Africa’s most expensive footballer.
He was purchased from Leicester City for £60mil and signed a 5 year deal.
He will wear the number 26 shirt. On his unveiling, Mahrez said “I am so pleased to have joined City, a side playing great football under Pep Guardiola”.
The deal eclipses the £38mil Liverpool paid A.S Roma to sign Mohammed Salah on 22nd June 2017.
