A young man believed to be in his late twenties (20s) has drowned in a pond close to the Notre Dame Senior High School near Nayagenia near Navrongo Kassena-Nankana District in the Upper East Region.The man, identified as Justine Bellengo ( alias Dickson), is suspected to have staggered into the pond after drinking heavily in what many conclude is a suicide owing to his alleged sacking from the St. John Bosco’s College of Education.
Though MyNewsGh.com is unable to independently ascertain the claim, Dickson before his alleged suicide had become withdrawn and looked depressed.
His body has since been conveyed and deposited at the War Government Hospital mortuary in Navrongo pending autopsy while police have confirmed same and launched investigations into the unfortunate incident.
