VGMA2017: Stonebwoy looks to retain Best Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year award


More nominees have been unveiled for this year’s edition of the esteemed Ghana Music Awards scheme. The latest list consists categories for Afropop Song of the Year, Hiphop Song of the Year, and Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year.

Stonebwoy stakes a strong case in the Reggae/ Dancehall Song of the Year with his rework of Rihanna’s Work titled People Dey. A song contender, the Go Higher singer looks to retain that crown this year though the category is fiercely contested. Sultry Ebony Reigns, as well as Tema-based Gallaxy also earn nominations for Kupe and Gborgborvor respectively. Dancehall diva Kaakie, Rudebwoy Ranking, the fearsome Rudebwoy Ranking, and veteran Samini make up the other nominees.
