Highlife musician, ‘Pastor’ Ofori Amponsah proved his undying love for gospel music when he stormed the stage to entertain patrons of the #AdomKwahu at the Eastern Palace in Atibie.
At the end of close to three hours of live band music, the singer who made a sudden ‘u-turn’ to secular music after becoming a Pastor concluded his performance with a live worship.
Assisted by his colleague highlife musician, Kofi B, the two sang series of medley worship songs some patrons to lie prostrate and lift their hands upwards to be impacted by Holy Ghost power.
‘Pastor Alewa’ as he is now known told Adom Entertainment News in an interview that he felt in his heart that he should worship God after his performance so he did exactly that.
According to him, this is not the first time he has done that and would continue doing that anytime he feels moved by the spirit.
Ofori Amponsah continued that the fact that he came back to do highlife does not mean he has lost touch with God.
‘I pray to God every morning for direction before I step out from my room’ he said.
