Zylofon Arts Fund: Abdul Salam Mumuni Of Venus Films Receives GHc239,550 – See All Beneficiaries

The Zylofon Arts Fund is a scheme structured to support the various creative arts arms of the nation both locally and internationally, to boost the prominence of the Arts and Tourism in Ghana.

The official opening of the fund’s secretariat & official presentation to the various beneficiaries took place today, March 23 at the Lord Of the wings inside East Legon, Accra.

Beneficiaries of the Zylofon Arts Fund were finally presented with their cheques after going through a rigorous process.

Renowned Producer and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Venus Films, Alhaji Abdul Salam Mumuni who was part of the beneficiaries received a whooping GHc239,550 to support his movie project. Salaams Venus Film Production is responsible for the discovery of the likes of Van Vicker, Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari and a host of emerging actors.

Other beneficiaries of the fund include Chief Moomen of Bambu Center who received GHc100,00, The CEO of AA Productions Mustapha Adam who also received GHC289,800.

Saddick Sulley, a social media comedian/actor popularly known for his SDK-comedy skits also received GHc10,000 worth of items in terms of laptops, iphones and camera equipment to support his work.

Earlier, young sensational singer Dhat Gyal was also announced as a beneficiary of the fund in the form of educational support.

Renowned actor Socrate Sarfo was revealed as the financial advicer of the fund among four other members who form the five-member committee in charge of analyzing proposals.

As at March 23, the board had received a total of 89 applications which comprises of creative arts projects from the various industries.
