Fenerbache midfielder Andre Ayew has made the list in Olympique Marseille’s recently released list of best 11 African players to have played for them.

He joins an elite group which includes Didier Drogba and his father, Abedi Pele.
During Bernard Tapie’s reign as president of Marseille, Olympique Marseille emerged as France Champions from 1989-1992 as well as winning the Champions League in 1992.
However, following the match fixing scandal which led to Olympique Marseille Olympique’s subsequent relegation to the French second division, Marseille has lost their status as an European football powerhouse.
