Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (popularly known as Sir John) who doubles as a lawyer and politician is dead. He has held several political positions including serving as general secretary of the New Patriotic Party. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Forestry Commission of Ghana.
He is reported to have died in Accra after a short illness. He died after testing positive for Covid-19.
He succumbed to complications of the disease while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
