Mmebusem has carved an image for himself as “Ghana’s Jesus”. An image which has split the citizenry into two: some view it as a touch of genius/creativity whereas others view it as blasphemy of the highest order.

Following Mmebusem’s videos which often go viral, Veteran Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Cindy Thompson advised the actor to stop using Jesus’ name in vain.

However, Mmebusem had other ideas up his sleeves: he clapped back, citing that Cindy Thompson doesn’t even know how Jesus Christ looks like.

To make matters “worse”, The President of Brian Jones Outreach Ministries headquartered in London, Brian Amoateng also advised Mmebusem to stop mimicking/ mocking Jesus all in the name of comedy – an advice which was seconded by Joselyn Dumas.

Brian Amoateng wrote of Facebook: “Enough of this nonsense. I don’t support this….Christian Youth of Ghana, our God cannot be mocked in the name of comedy….”

Airing her sentiments under Brian’s post, Joselyn Dumas also wrote: “Thank you. We are now condoning blasphemy All in the name of comedy smh.”
