The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has declared that Ghanaians won’t be billed for water in the next three months.
The president in his latest update regarding measures taken against the spread of coronavirus among other things revealed that he had instructed the Ghana Water Company and Electricity Company of Ghana to provide uninterrupted services to the people of Ghana.
He added that Government will also absorb water bills for all Ghanaians for the next three months i.e April, May and June. Again, All water tankers, publicly and privately owned are also going to be mobilized to ensure the supply of water to all vulnerable communities.
