The kind of resources present in this generation has ensured that the rate of sedentarism keeps increasing.

And an increase in sedentarism also leads to an increase in diseases thus diseases that are accrued as a result of a lack of exercise.

Paul Kagame’s transformation of Rwanda has been incredible. But more impressive is how he has his people at heart. As a result of that a “monthly car free day” has been instituted in Rwanda in order to promote the health of it’s citizens.

Of course, being active just once in a month is not enough to fight lifestyle related diseases however it’s going to be a great step to sensitize the citizenry on the need to exercise.

This was made known via the popular Facebook Page, Rwanda The Heart Of Africa.
