Yaya Toure may sound like something that you yell out when you’re happy, but it’s really the name of the successful player from the Ivory Coast, currently playing for Manchester City.
Toure has scored 59 goals in his senior career, which amounts to a cool $367,796.61 per goal scored! Sure that’s more money than most of us will see in a few decades, but we’re not scoring goals like Toure, are we?
The midfielder has reached his early 30’s, which is pretty old for a soccer player, but that hasn’t stopped him from achieving success at the highest level with Manchester City. For four years running, he has won the award for best Soccer Player from Africa, starting in 2011. There’s a good chance that Toure is going to win again in 2015 after helping the Ivory Coast win the Africa Cup of Nations early in the year.
